Statement of Faith
We believe:
- The Bible as the unchanging Word of God that is without error. The Scriptures were written by men of God who were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
- There is one true God who is sovereign, creator of the world and eternally exists in three distinct persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Genesis 1:1-31, Ephesians 4:4-6)
- Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and is in need of salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God brought to humans by grace, not by any good works. Salvation can only be received through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 3:23-25, 6:23, Romans 5: 8-9, Hebrews 9:26, Ephesians 2:8-9)
- Jesus Christ is the son of God who died on the cross at Calvary. He came to earth fully divine and human. He lived a sinless life and was crucified for the forgives of sins. God rose Him up on the third day and now sits at the right hand of God in heaven. (Romans 4:25, Mark 16: 19, 20, Matthew 1:20-21, Matthew 28:6, 1 Corinthians 15:20)
- The Holy Spirit lives in each believer enabling them to become more and more like Jesus Christ in their attitudes and actions. Sanctification will not be complete until we reach heaven to spend eternity with God. (1 Corinthians 2:12-13, 2 Corinthians 7:1)
