The Fallibility of the Human Race, No One is Exempt

“Surely there is not a good person on earth who always does good and never sins.” — Ecclesiastes 7:20
Do not let anyone fool you into thinking they are infallible. To be infallible means that a person is incapable of making mistakes or being wrong. Be careful that they do not mislead you into thinking they are because the Bible clearly states that “all people” are capable of making mistakes and being wrong. Look at Romans 3:23 which says, “ Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard.” Sin is when a person breaks God's laws and commandments (1 John 3:4). Every human is capable of sinning because of what one man did—Adam. Adam was disobedient to God in Genesis 3:12 and the consequences of his disobedience was passed on to the human race (Romans 5:12).
Since then, everyone is capable of sinning, making mistakes and being wrong. If someone believes that they have never sinned or they will never in the future, they make God a liar (1 John 1:10). Lucky for people, God saved people from the consequences of their sins. He did it by allowing Jesus to suffer and die for the sins of the people who believe it (John 3:16). Jesus was obedient unto death and what He did makes people right with their infallible God.
However, unlike God, people can never be perfect or do no wrong. But they have the ability to do good and sin less with help from the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gives them the ability to do what God approves of (Romans 8:26-27). Look what God says about how He does the work in changing a person: “I will put a new way of thinking inside you. I will take out the stubborn hearts of stone from your bodies, and I will give you obedient hearts of flesh.” – Ezekiel 36:26
Prayer of the day:
Dear heavenly Father,
You are infallible unlike us. That is why we need Jesus to save us. There is not one person who never sins or has not done something wrong. With that being the case, please Holy Spirit come into our hearts so we can have the power to do good and sin less. It is all possible because of You, Lord! All honor, glory and praise belong to You. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
